Part-Time Bookkeeper
\nLocation: Chester
\nHours: Part-Time (16–24 hours per week, flexible)
\nSalary: £28,000–£35,000 FTE (pro rata), depending on experience
\nOur client, a busy and well-established accountancy practice, is seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual looking for flexible working hours within a professional practice environment.
\nPlease note: Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential for this role.
\nKey Responsibilities:

- Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across a range of industries. \n
- Processing purchase and sales invoices. \n
- Completing bank and credit card reconciliations. \n
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns. \n
- Maintaining accurate financial records using cloud-based accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage. \n
- Assisting with management accounts and year-end preparation. \n
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries and provide ongoing support. \n
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. \n
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice (essential). \n
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks and/or Sage. \n
- A solid understanding of VAT and double-entry bookkeeping. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. \n
- Strong communication and client relationship skills. \n
- The ability to manage multiple client deadlines and work independently. \n
- An AAT qualification or equivalent would be advantageous. \n
