\nPurpose of the Role
\n\nReporting to the People & Organisational Development Manager, the People & Organisational Development (POD) Officer will be responsible for coordinating and delivering learning and development initiatives across all business areas.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n\nLearning & Development
\n- \n
- Lead the delivery of annual Training Calendar, ensuring organisational learning needs are met and continuously improved through evaluation, feedback and performance metrics. \n
- Collaborate with business divisions to identify development needs and design appropriate learning solutions aligned to organisational priorities. \n
- Act as a subject matter expert in the design and delivery of training programmes, including digital learning solutions. \n
- Maintain awareness of emerging learning and development trends, technologies and future capability requirements. \n
- Support the wider HR team in the delivery of training sessions and workshops. \n
- Assist the POD Manager in coordinating and delivering structured induction programmes for newly appointed managers. \n

- Evaluate programme effectiveness against business KPIs and recommend improvements. \n
- Develop and present learning analytics \n
- Develop and implement communication plans to promote learning and development opportunities across the organisation. \n
- Manage relationships and contracts with external learning providers, ensuring quality and value for money through regular reviews. \n
- Support the development and monitoring of annual learning and development budgets. \n
- Administer the Voluntary Training and Educational Development Fund, ensuring compliance, governance and budget control. \n
- Support compliance with mandatory and statutory training requirements through monitoring, reporting and stakeholder engagement. \n
Core HR Talent & Performance Management

- Manage the Group Performance Management System (currently the Core HR Talent Module). \n
- Ensure the system is fully operational and ready for annual performance review cycles. \n
- Lead system optimisation, maintenance and troubleshooting activities. \n
- Support the rollout of future performance management developments across additional employee groups. \n
- Monitor and report on completion rates across divisions. \n
- Liaise with business areas to ensure compliance with performance management processes. \n
- Manage performance management timelines, communications and training materials. \n
- Conduct quality audits and reviews and make recommendations for continuous improvement. \n
- Deliver LEAD Framework training to Management, Professional and Technical (MPT) employees. \n
Person Specification
\nEssential Criteria
\n- \n
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within a Learning & Development environment. \n
- Minimum HNC qualification \n
- Experience analysing feedback and evaluation data and presenting findings to senior stakeholders. \n
- Experience managing internal stakeholders to deliver learning and development outcomes. \n
- Awareness of monitoring and controlling resources and associated project budgets. \n
- Experience managing projects. \n
- Able to satisfy the medical standards applicable to the post. \n
