Job Description

Reed is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Management Accountant to join a small, fast-paced finance team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, growing organisation and taking ownership of core finance processes.

You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations and assisting with month-end processes, helping to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial control.

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (pro rata, depending on experience)Hours: 21–28 hours per weekContract: 6-month fixed term (potential to become permanent)Location: EdinburghReporting to: Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-End Processes: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • \n
  • Revenue Accounting: Calculate deferred and accrued revenue accurately
  • \n
  • Reconciliations: Perform timely reconciliation of customer payments within accounting systems
  • \n
  • Invoicing: Create and manage customer invoices using billing platforms
  • \n
  • Credit Control: Proactively manage credit control and support cash collection activities
  • \n
  • Ledger Management: Maintain purchase ledger and process supplier invoices
  • \n
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide additional support as required within the finance function
  • \n

Essential

  • Part-qualified, fully qualified, or qualified by experience accountant
  • \n
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • \n
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • \n
  • Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
  • \n
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
  • \n
  • Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
