About the Role
\n\nWe're looking for a HV Design Engineer to support the design and adoption of LV and HV electricity networks, with a particular focus on distributed generation and grid connections. You'll work closely with customers, developers, DNOs and internal teams to deliver safe, compliant and efficient network solutions.
\n\nKey Responsibilities
\n\n- \n
- Design and assess LV/HV electricity networks. \n
- Carry out network impact studies including voltage rise, ELI, thermal loading and fault level assessments. \n
- Support generation and grid connection applications. \n
- Liaise with DNOs, ICPs, developers and customers. \n
- Ensure compliance with G99, G100 and industry standards. \n
- Manage technical submissions and connection approvals. \n
- Support project delivery and maintain accurate project records. \n
Requirements
\n\nEssential
\n\n- \n
- Experience in electricity network design (LV/HV). \n
- Knowledge of distributed generation and grid connections. \n
- Experience using WinDebut, IPSA, VisNet or similar software. \n
- Understanding of G99/G100 requirements. \n
- Ability to perform network studies and technical assessments. \n
- Good CAD and Microsoft Office skills. \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. \n
Desirable
\n\n- \n
- Experience with solar PV, wind, CHP or other renewable technologies. \n
- Background within a DNO, IDNO, ICP or utility environment. \n
- Exposure to EHV networks. \n
