Part-Time Financial Controller (Remote UK)

Campbell Grove Talent are partnering exclusively with a growing eCommerce business who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller with a commercial background who wants more than just month-end reporting.
\nThis is a hands-on leadership role where you'll partner directly with the founders, improve financial processes, strengthen controls, and provide the insight that drives business growth.
\nOur client is flexible on 3 or 4 days per week, with occasional travel to their Head Office in the North East.
\nWhat you'll be doing:
\n- \n
- Own monthly management accounts, reporting and performance analysis \n
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning \n
- Improve financial controls, systems and governance \n
- Drive automation and AI-enabled finance processes \n
- Partner closely with the CEO and COO on strategic planning initiatives. \n
- Support strategic decision making with commercial analysis and financial modelling \n
- Oversee VAT, indirect tax compliance and payroll review \n
- Manage external accountants, auditors and advisors \n
- Mentor and develop an Assistant Accountant \n
What we're looking for:
\n- \n
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified \n
- 5+ years PQE in a Financial Controller or senior finance role \n
- Strong Xero experience \n
- Excellent management reporting, forecasting and cash flow skills \n
- Experience improving processes and implementing controls \n
- Confident communicator who can influence non-finance stakeholders \n
Nice to have:
\n- \n
- eCommerce, retail or consumer products experience \n
- International or multi-entity experience \n
- Exposure to US operations, sales tax or reporting \n
- Experience with finance automation and AI tools \n
