The Role

An established and growing manufacturing business within the food production sector is seeking a Fabrication Engineer to join its engineering team. This is a hands-on role focused on the design, development, and implementation of fabricated systems and solutions to support site operations.

You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the fabrication and installation of engineered solutions, resolving issues during implementation
\n
• Ensure all fabrication and installation work meets relevant industry and safety standards
\n
• Work closely with production teams to minimise operational disruption during projects
\n
• Deliver engineering projects as required by the management team
\n
• Troubleshoot fabrication-related issues and implement effective corrective actions
\n
• Conduct root cause analysis on defects and drive continuous improvement initiatives
\n
• Promote and ensure adherence to safe working practices across site
\n

About You

\n
• Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
\n
• Proven experience within fabrication or manufacturing engineering (typically 2–5+ years)
\n
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes such as welding and machining
\n
• Experience within a food or FMCG environment is advantageous
\n
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
\n
• Strong analytical mindset with effective problem-solving abilities
\n
