You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality R&D tax relief claims, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the continued success of the firm's advisory offering.As R&D Tax Manager, you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio, managing claims from initial consultation through to submission while providing expert technical advice throughout the process.Key responsibilities include:\n

- Managing a portfolio of R&D tax relief clients across a broad range of sectors \n
- Preparing and reviewing R&D tax relief claims, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance \n
- Liaising directly with clients to understand qualifying R&D activities and associated expenditure \n
- Preparing robust technical reports and financial calculations to support claims \n
- Advising clients on R&D tax legislation and identifying opportunities to maximise available reliefs \n
- Managing enquiries from HMRC and supporting clients throughout the process \n
- Working collaboratively with Partners and the wider tax team on complex client matters \n
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships through exceptional service \n
- Supporting, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members \n
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and HMRC guidance \n

- Previous experience managing R&D tax relief claims within an accountancy practice or specialist tax consultancy \n
- A strong understanding of UK R&D tax legislation and HMRC guidance \n
- Excellent analytical and technical skills \n
- Strong client relationship management experience \n
- The ability to explain complex technical matters clearly to non-technical stakeholders \n
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues \n
- ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA or equivalent qualification (or qualified by experience) \n
