I'm recruiting for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a large and well-established public sector organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional looking to take ownership of the full payroll life-cycle within a complex organisation, whilst playing a key role in payroll systems, compliance and continuous improvement.

You'll be responsible for:

• Managing the end-to-end payroll production cycle
\n
• Ensuring payroll accuracy and statutory compliance
\n
• Payroll reconciliations and General Ledger balancing
\n
• HMRC year-end processes and statutory reporting
\n
• Supporting pension administration (including public sector pension schemes)
\n
• Leading Oracle Payroll testing, upgrades and system improvements
\n
• Mentoring Payroll team members
\n
• Driving payroll process improvements and resolving complex payroll queries.

Proven end-to-end payroll experience Hands-on Oracle Payroll experience (essential) Payroll reconciliation and General Ledger knowledge Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation Advanced Excel skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Experience within a large, complex organisation
