Your new companyA reputable and well-established organisation based near Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their busy finance team on a short-term temporary basis. You will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller and working alongside a knowledgeable and supportive team.

Your new roleAs an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function. Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
\n
• Matching, batching, and coding invoices
\n
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
\n
• Preparing and processing payment runs
\n
• Handling supplier queries in a timely and professional manner
\n
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
\n

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role
\n
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of work
\n
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach
\n
• Competent Excel and finance system skills
\n
• Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
\n
