Inspection Quality Engineer

Due to continued growth our client a global market leader within the Aerospace/Military/Defence sector are recruiting for a Quality Inspection Engineer.

The role as a First Article Inspector to work within our Inspection Team where you will be planning the First Article Inspection requirements for a seat programme using QPM, the FAIR Software system.

Aspects of the role will include

• Plan First Article Inspection activities against required programs and Patrol Inspection Audit activity.
\n
• Complete First Article Inspections and reports for top level part assembly seats and deliverable items and Complete Patrol Inspection Audits and reports for designated products.
\n
• Review and ensure that completed FAI’s meet the QAI-148 / AS9102 standard requirements.
\n
• Conduct follow up Patrol Inspection Audits and maintain a spreadsheet for a Measure of Effectiveness (MOE) on notification corrective actions where applicable.

Characteristics & Skills

\n
• General work background in manufacturing / engineering, Aerospace background very desirable.
\n
• Quality Engineer or Inspection experience.
\n
• Understanding of the application of AS9100 audits and AS9102 First Article Inspection process.
\n
• Familiarity with Qpulse QPM software and SAP or equivalent systems.
\n
• Broad experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, processes and use of 2 and 3 D images.
