Interim Auditor - Immediate Start - Property

Your new companyA well-established accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Interim Auditor to support a busy audit team during a period of sustained growth. The successful candidate will work primarily with a portfolio of property and construction clients, delivering high-quality audit assignments and providing technically robust audit support across a range of engagements.This is an excellent opportunity for an auditor who can quickly integrate into an established team, take ownership of assignments, and work with minimal supervision.Your new role

• Lead and deliver audit assignments from planning through to completion.
\n
• Manage audits for a diverse portfolio of property and construction sector clients.
\n
• Review and assess financial statements prepared under UK GAAP and FRS 102.
\n
• Evaluate revenue recognition, WIP, contract accounting, and project-related financial controls.
\n
• Review fixed asset registers, development property valuations, investment property portfolios, and construction contracts.
\n
• Liaise directly with clients, providing clear communication and resolving audit queries efficiently.
\n
• Identify audit risks and ensure compliance with audit and accounting standards.
\n
• Support managers and partners with technical matters and engagement delivery.
\n
• Prepare and review audit documentation to a high professional standard.
\n

What you'll need to succeed

\n
• ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience with substantial audit exposure).
\n
• Strong external audit background gained within an accountancy practice environment.
\n
• Demonstrable experience auditing property developers, construction companies, contractors, housing associations, or real estate businesses.
\n
