Vehicle Service Technician

Elevation Recruitment Group’s Engineering Services Division are recruiting for an Vehicle Service Technician to join a busy specialist automotive service centre based in Rotherham.

This is a mix of workshop-based and same day travelling to customer sites, working as part of a skilled team responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a fleet of commercial vehicles, including HGVs and buses (both diesel and electric), operating on a mornings-based shift pattern.RotherhamSalary: £35,000Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00

• Carry out all aspects of vehicle maintenance, servicing, inspection, and repair within the workshop
\n
• Diagnose faults using specialist diagnostic equipment and software, along with manual inspection techniques
\n
• Perform routine maintenance and reactive repairs to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
\n
• Interpret and utilise the latest technical manuals, guides, and service documentation
\n
• Complete job cards and records accurately and efficiently
\n
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality workmanship and service standards
\n

• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
\n
• City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent qualification)
\n
• Strong diagnostic skills, including electrical and computer-based fault finding
\n
• Proven experience working on HGVs, buses, or other commercial vehicles
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n
• Able to follow both written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
\n
