Our client, a welcoming and well-established primary school in Potters Bar, is seeking an enthusiastic Reception Class Teacher to join their dedicated team on a full-time basis to cover maternity leave from September 2026.

The Role\n

As the Reception Class Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, creative and well-planned lessons in line with the EYFS Framework.

  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom where every child can thrive.
    • \n
  • Support children's academic, social and emotional development during this important stage of learning.
    • \n
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for every pupil.
    • \n
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate\n

The successful applicant will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    • \n
  • Recent experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
    • \n
  • A sound understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
    • \n
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
    • \n
  • A nurturing, enthusiastic and child-centred approach to teaching.
    • \n
  • The ability to inspire curiosity, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
