Health and Safety Officer12month FTC£35,000- £37,000
\nSouth East Manchester/ Hybrid
\nHamilton Woods are currently recruiting for a social housing provider to recruit for a Health and Safety Officer to cover maternity on a 12m FTC. The role will require one day in their offices, with some travel to site.
\nDuties and Responsibilities of the Health ad Safety Officer:
\n- \n
- Assisting the H&S Manager in leading and embedding a strong and robust health and safety culture across the organisation \n
- Implementing H&S Team actions. \n
- Assisting with the development of policies and procedures in relation to health and safety. \n
- Supporting management in ensuring effective H&S systems are being operated within \n
- Contributing to the risk assessment processes, including safe systems of work and COSHH, under the guidance of the H&S Manager. \n
- Working with the H&S Manager and the HR team to help identify H&S training requirements. \n
- Assisting in the delivery of H&S training where appropriate. \n
- Preparing and and reporting on H&S performance. \n
- Overseeing the accident and incident management system and ensure investigations are completed in a timely manner. \n
- Providing advice and guide investigations for accidents, incidents and near misses \n
Essential Requirements of the Health and Safety Officer:
\n- \n
- NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety \n
- Experience of working within a H&S team \n
- Experience dealing and responding to H&S queries \n
- Experience being involved in risk assessments, accidents, near misses, audit and investigations \n
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle \n
