Mechanical Fitter Long-Term Contract until December 2027 Monday to Friday 7:30am – 3:30pm 40 Hours Per Week We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy team working on vehicle, bogie and rail overhauls. If you've got the hands-on skills, a great eye for detail, and enjoy working on large-scale engineering projects, we want to hear from you! What You'll Be DoingAs a Mechanical Fitter, you'll be: Stripping, rebuilding and fitting mechanical components Working on large vehicle and coach overhaul projects Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics Using hand and power tools to cut, fit, assemble and modify components Carrying out quality checks to ensure everything lines up perfectly Following Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a safe workshop environment What We're Looking For in the Mechanical FitterYou'll be a great fit if you have: Proven Mechanical Fitter experience in a technical or production environment Experience working on vehicles, rolling stock, coaches, heavy engineering or similar The ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings Strong hand and power tool skills A keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset Experience in rail, aviation, military, marine or heavy vehicle sectors (desirable) Basic electrical schematic reading skills (a bonus, not essential) What's In It For the Mechanical Fitter Long-term contract through to December 2027 PAYE: £20.05 per hour Umbrella: £27.34 per hour Stable day shifts with no weekends Opportunity to work on exciting, large-scale engineering projects Ready to Get Started?If you're a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking for your next long-term challenge, apply today and help keep some impressive engineering projects on track!
