An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NPI Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing advanced manufacturing business working on complex metallic products and assemblies.
\nThis NPI Manufacturing Engineer role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment and enjoys taking new products from concept through to full production. The successful NPI Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in driving industrialisation activities, improving manufacturability, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through to production ramp-up \n
- Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes for metallic components and assemblies \n
- Produce manufacturing documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and process flows \n
- Work closely with Design Engineering to improve design for manufacture (DFM) and producibility \n
- Support project delivery through effective planning, risk management, and milestone tracking \n
- Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure smooth product industrialisation \n
- Support PFMEA/DFMEA activities and drive risk mitigation actions during NPI phases \n
- Liaise with external suppliers regarding tooling and manufacturing support \n
- Assess manufacturing methods to ensure the most cost-effective production solutions \n
- Support capital equipment and tooling investment justifications \n
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with relevant quality and regulatory standards \n
- \n
- Previous experience within an NPI Manufacturing Engineer or Manufacturing Engineering position \n
- Strong understanding of the full NPI lifecycle and product industrialisation \n
- CAD experience with the ability to create and interpret technical drawings \n
- Experience developing manufacturing sequences for complex assemblies \n
- Knowledge of PFMEA, PPAP, and continuous improvement methodologies \n
- Experience working with MRP/ERP systems \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills \n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a manufacturing environment \n
- Understanding of fabricated and machined component manufacturing processes \n
- Experience with welding and non-destructive testing would be advantageous \n
- Commercial awareness including make vs buy and cost analysis considerations desirable \n

- Degree qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline \n
- Equivalent industry experience will also be considered \n
