Job Description
Are you a newly qualified ACA/ACCA accountant looking to make your first move from practice into industry? We are working with a large, well-established multi-site business operating across the UK and Europe, looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure across both management and financial accounting within a complex property portfolio of owned and leased sites. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting month-end reporting, property accounting and financial control across a varied and high-volume estate. Key responsibilities: \n

- Preparing monthly management accounts for a portfolio of UK and European sites \n
- Supporting the production of statutory accounts and year-end reporting \n
- Accounting for both owned and leased properties, including rent, service charge, lease costs and related balance sheet items \n
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journals and month-end reporting packs \n
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis across the property portfolio \n
- Working closely with operational, property and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting \n
- Assisting with audit requirements and responding to queries from external auditors \n
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and efficiencies \n

- ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally trained within a Top 10, mid-tier or Big Four practice \n
- Newly qualified or with up to 1–2 years’ post-qualified experience \n
- Strong grounding in audit, accounts preparation and financial reporting \n
- Looking to build a long-term career in a commercial, fast-paced industry environment \n
- Confident communicator, able to work with stakeholders outside of finance \n
- Strong Excel skills and a naturally analytical approach \n
- Property, multi-site, lease accounting or retail/hospitality exposure would be beneficial, although not essential \n
