Maintenance Engineer

Location: PontefractSalary: £49,000 - £52,000Shift: Panama Days & Nights

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Pontefract. Working a Panama days and nights shift pattern, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of manufacturing machinery, ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum while driving continuous improvement across the site.

Manufacturing

\n
• Recognised engineering qualification
\n
• Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
\n
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
\n
• Ability to work a Panama days and nights shift pattern
\n

\n
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
\n
• Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly and efficiently
\n
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
\n
• Complete maintenance records accurately
\n
• Work closely with production to maximise machine uptime
\n
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects
\n
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
\n

\n
• Multi-skilled maintenance experience
\n
• Experience working with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics or pneumatics
\n
• PLC fault-finding experience
\n
• Experience within an automated factory
\n
