Finance Assistant
\n3-Month Contract - £200 per day - Inside IR35 - Onsite 5 days per week - Kilmarnock
\nHarvey Nash's public sector client is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team on an initial 3-month contract.
\nThe role will be based onsite five days per week initially, with the possibility of hybrid working as the contract progresses.
\nKey responsibilities:

- Processing financial transactions in line with organisational policies and procedures \n
- Supporting income and expenditure activities across the finance function \n
- Maintaining accurate financial records, systems and databases \n
- Assisting with reconciliations, payments and cash management processes \n
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports and management information \n
- Providing guidance and support to budget holders and internal stakeholders \n
- Responding to finance-related enquiries in a professional and customer-focused manner \n
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, procedures and governance requirements \n
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of finance processes and administrative procedures \n
- Providing cross-team support to ensure a seamless finance service \n
Essential:
\n- \n
- HNC qualification in a relevant subject area or equivalent finance experience \n
- Previous experience working within a finance, accounts or financial administration environment \n
- Experience delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines \n
- Strong knowledge of financial systems and accounting processes \n
- Excellent administrative, organisational and prioritisation skills \n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills \n
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel \n
- A customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering excellent service \n
- The ability to analyse information and produce accurate, high-quality outputs with minimal supervision \n

- Experience working within a large, complex or public sector organisation \n
