Reed Finance is proud to be partnering with a well established, public sector organisation in County Durham to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to join their Corporate Management Team.This is a senior opportunity to take ownership of a broad finance function within a forward thinking organisation delivering vital local services and facilities to the community.As Finance Manager you will:

• Lead and develop a small finance team
\n
• Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and year-end accounts
\n
• Deliver the medium-term financial plan and annual budgets
\n
• Ensure strong financial governance, controls, and compliance
\n
• Manage audit, treasury, payroll, and income functions
\n
• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide strategic financial insight
\n

About YouWe are seeking a proactive and capable finance professional with:

• Proven financial management experience (ideally within local government or public sector)
\n
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, governance, and reporting
\n
• Experience preparing budgets, accounts, and financial plans
\n
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
\n
• A relevant accountancy qualification (or working towards)
\n
