Finance Manager

Permanent Finance Manager | Full-Time | Paisley

I'm working with a long-established, owner-led manufacturing and joinery business to recruit a hands-on Accountant who will take full ownership of the finance function across three entities.

This is a key, standalone role where you'll work closely with the owner, playing a vital part in supporting day-to-day operations while ensuring the smooth running of all finance activity across the group.

The Opportunity

This is a broad, end-to-end role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy and responsibility. You'll be the go-to person for finance, managing everything from transactional activity through to year-end.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of year-end accounts across three businesses
\n
• Full ownership of purchase & sales ledger (Sage 50)
\n
• Managing intercompany transactions
\n
• Producing trial balance and management-level accounts
\n
• Liaising with Lloyds Finance and factoring providers
\n
• Running payroll, including HMRC and NIC submissions
\n
• Managing pensions administration
\n
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
\n
• Overseeing monthly invoicing and VAT processes
\n
• Handling holiday pay calculations
\n
• Supporting with wider operational and administrative tasks
\n

What We're Looking For

\n
• Strong all-round accounting experience, ideally within an SME or owner-managed business
\n
• Confident user of Sage 50
\n
• Comfortable operating in a standalone role with full ownership
\n
• Organised, reliable, and proactive - someone who naturally takes the lead
\n

Salary & Benefits
