\nWe're seeking a talented Group Accountant to join an ambitious, award-winning organisation. As the business enters its next phase of growth, this is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the finance team, contributing to the delivery of accurate financial reporting, strong governance, and continuous process improvement.
\nWorking closely with the Financial Controller, you'll play a vital role in weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting activities, while also helping to drive strategic finance projects and system enhancements.
\nThe Role
\nAs Group Accountant, you'll be responsible for supporting the finance function across a broad range of financial reporting and control activities.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Assist in the review of monthly Group Management Accounts. \n
- Review journals and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. \n
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate with external auditors. \n
- Produce and investigate balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. \n
- Ensure the correct application of accounting policies and maintain robust financial controls and governance. \n
- Lead and support finance improvement projects, including the implementation of new systems and processes. \n
- Provide support with daily finance operations, including customer receipt allocations, settlement calculations and inbox management. \n
- Work collaboratively across the finance team to improve efficiency and reporting standards. \n
About You
\nWe're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both technical accounting and process improvement.
\nEssential Requirements
\n- \n
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA or ICAEW). \n
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience. \n
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting. \n
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including SUMIFS, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities. \n
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues. \n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. \n
