Management Accountant

Cherry Professional is recruiting for a hands-on Management Accountant / SME Company Accountant profile to join a privately-owned business in the Derby / DE74 area. This is an on-site role working 4 days per week, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the detail and supporting an operational leadership team.The RoleYou’ll take ownership of core finance processes and deliver timely, accurate numbers and insight, including:\n

• Producing monthly management accounts and performance reporting
\n
• Balance sheet oversight, reconciliations, and month-end close support
\n
• Supporting budgeting / forecasting and variance analysis
\n
• Working closely with stakeholders across the business to improve reporting and controls
\n
• Payroll knowledge (hands-on involvement / oversight)
\n

What we’re looking for\n

\n
• Experience in a hands-on SME finance role (Management Accounts essential)
\n
• Comfortable in a role that blends reporting with day-to-day finance activity
\n
• Payroll experience/knowledge (processing or strong oversight)
\n
• Strong Excel skills and a practical, “get it done” approach
\n
• Part-qualified profile welcomed (or equivalent experience)
\n

Package / details\n

• Salary: up to £50,000 (DOE)(to £39k Pro Rata'd)
\n
• Working pattern:4 days per week
\n
• Location: Derbyshire (Derby / DE74 area), on-site
\n
