The Company
\nOur client is a specialist the plant equipment sector due to growth they now require a Business Development Manager covering the South East.
\nThe Role
\n- \n
- The Business Development Manager will play a key role in building and managing key customer relationships, driving new business acquisition, and ensuring customer satisfaction for continued and sustainable growth. \n
- Develop and maintain strategic, long-term relationships with key customers, ensuring their needs are met through tailored solutions. \n
- The role will be out on the road with customers 4 out of 5 days per week. \n
- Identify new business opportunities and tactically increase the customer base. Develop a commercial pipeline. \n
- Work with the Sales Manager to produce the sales budget, forecasts and financial plans for your customers. \n
- Deliver against all agreed financial KPI’s. \n
- Deliver the sales plan for your customer base. \n
- Develop and manage an annual growth plan in line with new forecasts. \n
- Produce regular reports on new target opportunities, market and competitor information. \n
- Prepare progress and forecast validation reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement. \n
- Support customers with day-to-day management of their orders, addressing queries and providing solutions. \n
- Manage a strategic value sales process, which increases our margin opportunity and aligns with our sales growth plan. \n
- Collaborate with engineering, production and customer services departments to support new product development, efficiency improvements and enhancements to the customer experience. \n
The Person
\n- \n
- Experience of working in a plant equipment environment. \n
- Experience in a technical sales or key account management role. \n
- A technical background is essential ideally from, plant, marine, agricultural, construction or excavators. \n
- Proven track record in B2B sales and achieving sales targets. \n
- Proven record of delivering consistent profitable sales growth within a fast-paced environment. \n
- Experience working with strategic sales process and pipeline management. \n
- Ability to develop and execute strategic customer plans. \n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts and tasks simultaneously. \n
- Ambitious and outgoing, highly organised with strong analytical skills. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with customers. \n
- Strong IT skills (particularly MS Office and CRM systems). \n
- Strong presentation skills. \n
- Able to prioritise and work calmly under pressure. \n
- Full driving licence. \n
- Regular UK travel required \n
