MB983: Facilities OperativeLocation: Berinsfield, OxfordshireSalary: £27,000 - £30,000 DOEWorking Hours: Monday to Friday 7am til 3pmOverview:First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Facilities Operative on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Oxfordshire depot.The Facilities Operative is responsible for supporting the maintenance and upkeep of the site, ensuring that facilities, equipment and external areas are safe, clean and fully operational.This is a hands-on role involving both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out general maintenance tasks across the site including basic repairs, equipment maintenance, upkeep of buildings and external areas.
\n
• Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
\n
• Respond to reactive maintenance issues as directed.
\n
• Assist with monitoring of site services and equipment to ensure safe operation.
\n
• Support regular safety checks, including identifying hazards and reporting issues.
\n
• Assist with waste management and maintaining site cleanliness.
\n
• Support contractor activities when required.
\n
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
\n
• Keyholder and responsible for a daily site check and shutdown
\n
• Operate as part of an ‘Out of Hours’ response team
\n

Skills and Qualifications:

\n
• Experience in a maintenance or hands-on environment.
\n
• Basic understanding of health & safety practices.
\n
• Practical skills in general maintenance tasks.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• Physically capable of manual tasks (lifting, bending, etc.).
\n
• Full clean Driving License
\n
• Competent with Electrics – Advantageous but not essential
\n
• Forklift license – Advantageous but not essential
