Salary: £75,000–£90,000 (depending on experience) | Discretionary bonus | Location: Southwest London | Office-Based | Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–6:30pm (or 8:30am–6:00pm) | Benefits Parking | Pension | 22 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

An exciting opportunity has become available for an accomplished Financial Controller to join a well-established organisation experiencing continued commercial growth. This position offers the chance to take full responsibility for the finance function while working closely with senior management to help drive the business forward.

You'll become a trusted member of the leadership team, ensuring financial accuracy while supporting strategic business decisions.

The Opportunity

\n

As Financial Controller, you will lead the day-to-day financial management of the business, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and efficient operational processes. Alongside overseeing the finance department, you will identify opportunities to improve systems, strengthen reporting, and contribute to the company's ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all daily finance operations.
  • \n
  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • \n
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • \n
  • Manage VAT submissions and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • \n
  • Coordinate year-end processes and work alongside external accountants and auditors.
  • \n
  • Develop and enhance financial procedures, reporting systems, and internal controls.
  • \n
  • Provide financial analysis and commercial support to senior stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Supervise key finance processes, including reconciliations, supplier payments, and ledger management.

About You

\n

  • To be successful in this position, you will have:
  • \n
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • \n
  • Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of management accounting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
  • \n
  • Excellent analytical skills with a commercial approach to problem solving.
  • \n
  • Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • \n
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting software packages. Knowledge of QuickBooks would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • \n
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
