Law Firm Office Assistant/Receptionist

Join one of the largest legal practices in Surrey and a leading law firm in the Southeast. We are looking for an Office Assistant/Receptionist to join our Central Services department. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of client service that we are known for, as a Legal 500 Firm, acting as the first point of contact for our clients and setting the tone for their experience with us.
\nDay-to-Day of the Role:

- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and faxes efficiently. \n
- Handle post, deliveries, and client payments, ensuring timely distribution. \n
- Archive files and manage file archiving databases, including retrieval from storage as needed. \n
- Undertake physical tasks, including lifting and extensive photocopying, especially under deadline pressures. \n
- Manage stationery supplies and perform general administrative duties. \n
- Handle telephone calls, take accurate messages, and ensure effective communication within the firm. \n
- Maintain a tidy reception area and meeting rooms, and provide refreshments as needed. \n
- Actively engage with clients visiting the office, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- GCSE in Maths and English (A*-C) or (9-4) or equivalent. \n
- Law degree. \n
- Proven client-facing experience, with a courteous and efficient telephone manner. \n
- Professional appearance and a patient, diplomatic demeanour. \n
- Flexibility, cooperative spirit, and a supportive team-oriented attitude. \n
- Ability to work independently without close supervision. \n
- Strong commercial awareness and comfort in a busy, high-pressure environment. \n
- Excellent customer care and communication skills. \n
- Computer literacy is essential. \n
