Company Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Administration & Bookkeeping Assistant with a positive approach to work, on behalf of an established employer based in the Congleton area. This is a varied role combining administration and bookkeeping duties with the opportunity to progress to a more senior position for the right person.

\n

The ideal candidate will have strong administration skills, preferably some knowledge/experience of bookkeeping procedures and will be proactive in embracing the responsibilities of the position, whilst actively contributing to the company's success

\n

Key Duties & Responsibilities for our Administration & Bookkeeping Assistant:

    \n
  • Providing essential support through daily administrative and general bookkeeping tasks eg: entry of receipts, invoices and payments, handling supplier statements and collating payroll information
  • \n
  • Liaising with the Contracts Director regarding sub-contractor payments and application for the cashflow spreadsheet
  • \n
  • Updating the cash flow spreadsheet to correspond with Xero for the Financial Director
  • \n
  • Weekly time sheet checks for the Project Team and input to the spreadsheet for payroll
  • \n

Essential Skills and Experience Required for our Administration & Bookkeeping Assistant:

    \n
  • A strong administrator ideally with some bookkeeping experience
  • \n
  • Strong IT skills with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • \n
  • Experience of using Xero or similar accounts software would be advantageous
  • \n
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared objectives
  • \n
  • An ambitious self-starter who is able to prioritise their own workload
  • \n
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • \n
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • \n
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a confident telephone manner
  • \n
  • Previous experience in a similar role and/or a relevant qualification would be advantageous
  • \n

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday

\n

Location: Office-based, Congleton CW12

\n
