Air Export/Import Operator - Hounslow - Freight Forwarding

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £32,000 - £38,000

An established international freight forwarding business is looking to recruit an experienced Air Import / Export Operations Coordinator to join its busy operations team in Hounslow.

This is a hands-on operational role where you'll be responsible for managing international air freight shipments from start to finish, ensuring customers receive an efficient and reliable service while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

• Coordinate end-to-end air import and export shipments.
\n
• Arrange airline bookings and monitor shipments through to final delivery.
\n
• Prepare import, export and customs documentation.
\n
• Liaise with customers, airlines, overseas agents and transport providers.
\n
• Track and trace shipments, resolving any operational issues promptly.
\n
• Ensure accurate job costing, billing and shipment records.
\n
• Maintain compliance with customs and aviation security requirements.
\n
• Deliver excellent customer service while meeting operational KPIs.
\n

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience within air freight forwarding.
\n
• Experience handling air imports, exports or both.
\n
• A strong understanding of international freight documentation and customs procedures.
\n
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
\n
• The ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• A proactive, customer-focused approach.
\n
