Manchester | Hybrid (3 days onsite: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) | £55,000 - £65,000
\nWe're partnering with a growing, well-established business in Manchester to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to join their finance leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take real ownership of the financial operations of a dynamic organisation, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance.
The Role\nAs Financial Controller, you'll take charge of the day-to-day financial management of the business, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement of processes and systems. You'll play a key role in shaping financial strategy and act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team.
\nKey responsibilities include:

- Overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts \n
- Managing the year-end audit process and statutory accounts preparation \n
- Ensuring strong financial controls, policies, and compliance across the business \n
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a small finance team \n
- Cash flow management and treasury oversight \n
- Partnering with department heads to support commercial decision-making \n
- Driving process improvements and system efficiencies \n
- Supporting the CFO/Finance Director with ad hoc projects and analysis \n

- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent) \n
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance management role \n
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with a hands-on approach \n
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with non-finance stakeholders \n
- Experience managing or mentoring a team \n
- Highly organised, deadline-driven, and detail-focused \n
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with modern accounting/ERP systems advantageous \n

- Salary of £55,000 - £65,000, depending on experience \n
- Hybrid working: 3 days onsite per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), 2 days remote \n
