This is a business that has built its reputation on doing things the right way, and they bring that same philosophy to their people..This is a genuinely high-impact role being the “face of finance” in a standalone, newly created and purely commercial role, working alongside the Financial Controller and reporting directly into the CFO.You won't be a number-cruncher in the background, you'll be a trusted commercial FP&A business partner, sitting at the heart of strategic decision-making. Think pricing, margin analysis, financial modelling, budgeting, and presenting insight that shapes the future direction of the business.With further growth plans, new revenue streams, and a focus on improving data and developing new processes/systems, this is a CV defining opportunity for the right person!Reporting directly to the CFO the duties of this role will include:\n

  • Engaging closely with commercial, sales and account management teams to support bids, tenders, pricing decisions, contract negotiations and promotional activity.
  • \n
  • Lead the commercial elements of the annual budget and regular forecasting cycles, covering revenue by channel margin, cost to serve and key trading KPIs.
  • \n
  • Build and maintain robust financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision making
  • \n
  • Development and ownership of medium-term strategic model.
  • \n
  • Oversee the production and development of commercial dashboards and management information for senior leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable insight.
  • \n
  • Present monthly commercial performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities and proposed next steps.
  • \n
  • Ensure strong financial controls surrounding commercial processes
  • \n
  • Finance lead on commercial projects including major contract negotiations, new business proposals, organic, and inorganic growth.
  • \n
The ideal candidate will:\n

  • Be fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA - Essential
  • \n
  • Have extensive experience in commercial finance, with a focus on decision support, pricing and profitability analysis - Essential
  • \n
  • Have strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance reporting and advanced skills in Excel and financial/BI systems - Essential
  • \n
  • Have experience in a FMCG/Manufacturing - Highly desirable
  • \n
  • Have familiarity with contract-based or recurring revenue models - Desirable
  • \n
  • Have exposure to acquisitions, integrations or transformation projects - Desirable
  • \n
