Electrical Biased Maintenance EngineerLocation: NorthamptonSalary: Up to £50,000 per annumShift PatternsDays: 6:00am – 6:00pm | 4 on / 4 offNights: 9:00pm – 6:00am | Sunday – ThursdayThe OpportunityWe are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a leading regulated manufacturing business in Northampton.This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established engineering team responsible for maintaining high-speed production machinery in a modern manufacturing environment. You'll play a vital role in ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities\n

- Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment. \n
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, carrying out effective fault finding and root cause analysis. \n
- Maintain and repair PLC-controlled, high-speed production and packaging machinery. \n
- Work on a variety of equipment including industrial ovens, microwaves, HV transformers, slicers, sealers, metal detectors, and refrigeration systems. \n
- Support equipment optimisation, machine start-ups, and performance monitoring. \n
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system. \n
- Complete detailed shift handovers and engineering reports. \n
- Support and mentor apprentices and junior engineers where required. \n
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety, food safety, and company procedures. \n

- Time-served Electrical Engineer with a recognised apprenticeship. \n
- Minimum of 3 years' post-apprenticeship maintenance experience. \n
- Strong multi-skilled engineering background. \n
- Experience within a regulated or high-speed manufacturing environment. \n
- Good working knowledge of PLCs, automation, pneumatics, and hydraulics. \n
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills. \n
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality standards. \n

- Experience working with high-voltage systems. \n
- Knowledge of industrial ovens or microwave technology. \n
- \n
- Salary up to £50,000 per annum. \n
