The RoleHR AssistantLocation: Darlington (Office-based with hybrid working post-probation)We are currently working with a leading, multi-site organisation to recruit an HR Assistant to join their established and fast-paced HR team.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR administrator or junior HR professional looking to build their career within a dynamic environment, where no two days are the same.The Role:Reporting into the HR leadership team, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day HR function across multiple business units.This is a varied position with responsibility across the full employee lifecycle, including:\n

- Managing and tracking employee absence processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance \n
- Acting as a gatekeeper, challenging inconsistencies and escalating where appropriate \n
- Supporting with onboarding and offboarding, including contract administration \n
- Processing changes to terms and conditions (salary, hours, benefits) \n
- Maintaining accurate employee data across HR systems \n
- Supporting wider HR projects and providing cover across the team when required \n
- This is a busy, fast-paced role where attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. \n

- Previous experience in a HR Assistant or HR Administration role \n
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail \n
- Confidence to challenge and query information where required \n
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment \n
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently \n
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach \n
- Candidates from sectors such as manufacturing, retail or customer-led environments will be particularly well suited. \n
- CIPD Level 3 is desirable but not essential – support can be provided for the right individual. \n
