Finance ManagerLocation: Brentford, MiddlesexSalary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annumHours: 08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday (1-hour lunch break)Working Pattern: Fully office-based (No hybrid working)Reporting To: Finance Director The Opportunity Our client is seeking an ambitious and dynamic Finance Manager to join their finance team and support the Finance Director in driving strategic decision-making across the business. You will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, lead a team of five finance professionals, and play a key role in ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and efficient financial operations. Key Responsibilities \n

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of five within the finance department.
  • \n
  • Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
  • \n
  • Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed monthly.
  • \n
  • Work closely with the Finance Director on financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • \n
  • Oversee weekly payroll processing and client invoicing to ensure strict deadlines are achieved.
  • \n
  • Manage and approve weekly supplier payment runs.
  • \n
  • Ensure VAT, PAYE, CIS, and Corporation Tax obligations are accurately prepared and submitted on time.
  • \n
  • Manage all bank reconciliations across the business.
  • \n
  • Oversee petty cash, company credit cards, and employee expenses.
  • \n
  • Manage the company's invoice discounting facility.
  • \n
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
  • \n
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • \n
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
  • \n
  • Support the Finance Director throughout the annual audit process.
  • \n
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including a fleet of company vehicles.
  • \n
  • Maintain hire purchase schedules and record interest payments accurately.
  • \n
  • Produce ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for senior management.
  • \n
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, financial controls, and operational efficiencies.
  • \n
Candidate Requirements \n
    \n
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar role.
  • \n
  • Previous experience managing and developing finance teams.
  • \n
  • ACCA or CIMA part-qualified as a minimum (fully qualified candidates also welcome).
  • \n
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • \n
  • Excellent understanding of month-end and year-end accounting processes.
  • \n
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
  • \n
  • Experience with Sage 50 Cloud would be highly advantageous.
  • \n
  • Degree educated (desirable).
  • \n
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.
  • \n
