BOOKKEEPER – EAST GRINSTEAD – £35,000 + Hybrid Working Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a secure, full-time position with long-term prospects? Offering a salary of circa £35,000, excellent benefits and overtime when required, this Bookkeeper role provides stability, variety and career development within a professional environment.About the role This full-time Bookkeeper position will focus primarily on supporting sole traders, with some exposure to partnerships and limited companies. Key responsibilities include:\n

• Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts
\n
• Accurately entering financial data into Xero
\n
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
\n
• Identifying and flagging inconsistencies to assist with reconciliations
\n
• Supporting with year-end accounts preparation
\n
• Managing bookkeeping duties within a client-facing environment
\n

The successful Bookkeeper will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial records are maintained while working closely with accountants and managers.What we are looking for The ideal Bookkeeper will demonstrate:\n

• Solid bookkeeping experience, particularly with sole traders
\n
• Experience with partnerships and limited companies (advantageous but not essential)
\n
• Working knowledge of Xero (preferred – full training can be provided)
\n
• Knowledge of Sage and CCH (beneficial but not essential)
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
\n
• A professional and personable approach
\n
• Confidence in a client-facing role
\n
• Residence within reasonable commuting distance of East Grinstead
\n
