The Opportunity We're currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering team, supporting customers across the Warrington, Wigan & Preston region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys varied, autonomous work, building relationships with customers while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on materials handling equipment
\n
• Diagnose faults using electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
\n
• Complete accurate service reports, documentation, and parts management
\n
• Deliver excellent customer service on-site, acting as a company ambassador
\n
• Identify upsell opportunities and additional work where appropriate
\n
• Ensure full health & safety compliance at all times
\n

\n

About You We're looking for candidates with a strong engineering mindset and practical experience, ideally from one of the following backgrounds:

• Automotive / Vehicle Technician
\n
• HGV / Plant / Forklift Engineering
\n
• Agricultural or Military Engineering
\n

\n

You'll also have:

\n

\n
• Solid mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
\n
• Experience working in a field-based or customer-facing role
\n
• The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
\n
• A full UK driving licence
\n
