Production Coordinator

Location: ShipleySalary: £34,000 per annumFlexible working hours (Mon - Fri)

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business seeking a Production Coordinator to join its operations team.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role, ideal for someone with a background in production planning, production control or manufacturing coordination who enjoys problem-solving and keeping production moving. You'll work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and production issues are resolved quickly.

• Coordinate production work orders and maintain production schedules.

• Attend daily production, quality and cross-functional planning meetings.
\n
• Check material availability against customer orders and production requirements.
\n
• Monitor supply issues and work with Purchasing to source alternative solutions where required.
\n
• Update ERP systems with production status, material availability and Bill of Materials (BOM) changes.
\n
• Manage engineering and technical changes, ensuring updates are driven through the system.
\n
• Liaise with Sales regarding changing customer priorities, urgent orders and cancellations.
\n
• Resolve day-to-day production issues, including missing parts, stock shortages and schedule changes.
\n
• Monitor machinery contracts and ensure materials are available for planned builds.
\n
• Produce planning reports and maintain accurate production data.
\n
• Support continuous improvement and help keep production running efficiently.

• Previous experience in Production Planning, Production Control, Production Coordination, Materials Planning or Manufacturing Scheduling.
\n
• Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
\n
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
\n
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
\n
• Confident working with multiple departments to keep production on track.
