The Opportunity\nA leading manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Test & Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning and start-up of a newly constructed production facility in East Yorkshire.
\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work on a major capital project involving advanced process equipment and automation systems. The successful candidate will join a skilled engineering team responsible for the testing, commissioning, and early operational support of complex electro-mechanical equipment within a modern manufacturing environment.
\nThe role would suit an engineer with strong fault-finding skills, commissioning experience, and a hands-on approach to solving technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities\nReporting to the Engineering Manager, responsibilities will include:

- Setting up, configuring, testing and commissioning electro-mechanical equipment and systems. \n
- Carrying out electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic testing activities. \n
- Completing insulation resistance (IR) testing, loop testing and earth bonding verification. \n
- Using a variety of test equipment including multi-meters and other diagnostic tools. \n
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults. \n
- Supporting installation, commissioning and maintenance activities as required. \n
- Ensuring all test procedures, documentation and commissioning records are completed accurately and to a high standard. \n
- Working collaboratively with engineering and project teams to ensure successful project delivery. \n

- Previous experience within a testing, commissioning or electro-mechanical engineering environment. \n
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving abilities. \n
- Experience using a range of electrical and mechanical testing equipment. \n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics and P&IDs. \n
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. \n
- Strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards. \n
- Good understanding of low-voltage (LV) electrical systems. \n
- \n
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Maintenance or a related Engineering discipline. \n
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. \n
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing. \n
- HNC/HND in Engineering. \n
- Site Safety Passport or equivalent. \n
- Previous commissioning experience within manufacturing, automation, process, chemical or industrial environments. \n
