Our client is a product sourcing company and supplier to retail who due to continued growth now have an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Executive to join their team in Wigan.

Your role will be to:

\n
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities and risks
\n
• Assess the profitability of existing products and make recommendations for optimisation
\n
• Develop and recommend pricing strategies based on market analysis and competitive benchmarking.
\n
• Partner with New Product Development (NPD) teams to evaluate the commercial viability of new products
\n
• Conduct margin and profitability analysis.
\n
• Conduct margin and profitability analysis.
\n
• Monitor pricing compliance and discount effectiveness.
\n
• Support promotional pricing and product launch pricing models.
\n
• Evaluate impact of pricing changes on revenue and profitability.
\n
• Review macro-economic factors which could affect departments commercially (forecasts, pricing, logistics etc) including (but not exhaustive to) exchange rate, UK economy & consumer confidence
\n

The successful candidate will have:

\n
• Strong background in commercial analysis working with large data sets and creating reports
\n
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualisation or BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
\n
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, modelling, data analysis)
\n
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability with keen attention to detail
\n
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data to non-technical audiences
\n
• Experience in pricing strategy and/or product profitability analysis is highly desirable
\n
• Degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field preferred
\n
• Good team player with a positive attitude to driving team goals
\n
