KC Group is partnering with a fast-growing, innovative organisation to recruit a VAT Manager to join their high-performing Tax function. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a commercially focused VAT advisory role where you’ll play a key part in shaping VAT strategy, managing risk, and supporting business growth. The Indirect Tax Advisory team is central to delivering high-quality VAT guidance across the business. You’ll work closely with operational and finance teams, influencing decision-making on everything from new product offerings to complex cross-border transactions.   • Provide practical, timely VAT advice to stakeholders across finance and operational teams
  • \n
  • Support business initiatives, projects, and transactions to ensure correct VAT treatment
  • \n
  • Act as a key point of contact for VAT-related queries across the organisation
  • \n
Controls, Risk & Process Improvement\n
    \n
  • Review and enhance VAT controls, processes, and documentation
  • \n
  • Identify and implement opportunities for system and process improvements
  • \n
  • Contribute to VAT considerations in finance system and process changes
  • \n
Compliance & Stakeholder Support\n
    \n
  • Support the Head of Indirect Tax with HMRC enquiries and audits
  • \n
  • Assist with VAT return reviews and compliance activities where required
  • \n
  • Deliver VAT training and guidance to non-tax teams (AP, Sales, Finance Ops)
  • \n
Team Contribution\n

  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and reviewing work where appropriate
  • \n
About You\n
    \n
  • Significant UK VAT experience gained in practice or industry
  • \n
  • Strong working knowledge of UK VAT legislation, accounting processes, and reporting
  • \n
  • Professionally qualified (ACCA / ACA / ATT or equivalent)
  • \n
  • Experience supporting system changes or process improvement initiatives
  • \n
  • Exposure to advisory work, particularly on transactions or cross-functional projects
  • \n
