\nCompensation: OTE £40,000 – £50,000 per year
\nHours: Full-Time
\nDriving License Required (6 points or Less)
\nA growing and well-established engineering service business is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join its Sheffield team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded candidate looking to build a long-term career with full training, recognised qualifications, and strong earning potential.
\nPrevious experience with hydraulics or hydraulic hoses would be advantageous, although candidates with general mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.
\nThe Role
\nFollowing an initial fully paid two-week training program, the successful candidate will gain a City & Guilds qualification and receive the tools and support needed to succeed in the role.
\nOnce trained, the candidate will operate a company van, attending customer sites across the region to repair and maintain machinery, delivering high levels of service and technical support.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Attend customer call-outs to diagnose and repair machinery \n
- Install, service, and replace hydraulic hoses and related components \n
- Promote company products and services to existing and prospective customers \n
- Maintain stock levels within the company service vehicle \n
- Carry out routine vehicle checks and ensure the van is clean, organised, and fully operational \n
- Complete all relevant paperwork and technical documentation accurately \n
- Support colleagues across the wider business when required \n
- Adhere to all health & safety policies and PPE requirements \n
Candidate Requirements
\n- \n
- Mechanical fitting / maintenance experience or strong mechanical aptitude \n
- Experience with hydraulics or hoses advantageous but not essential \n
- Full UK driving licence required \n
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available) \n
- Strong communication and customer service skills \n
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively \n
- Good manual dexterity and practical problem-solving skills \n
- Professional and reliable attitude \n
