Magnus Search are looking for a Technical Support and Application Engineer to join a fantastic company based in Ivybridge.

This amazing opportunity is a Full Time Permanent Position where you will be working Monday – Friday 9:00 – 17:00, earning a salary between £43,000 - £45,000, along some fantastic benefits such Private Healthcare, Life Assurance, 25 days holiday +BH, opportunity for career progression within a Global Organisation and onsite free parking.

As a Technical Support and Application Engineer your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver pre- and post-sales technical support for soft starters and motor control products
\n
• Review customer requirements and recommend optimal solutions
\n
• Support product selection, commissioning, troubleshooting and training
\n
• Assist sales teams with proposals, presentations and customer visits
\n
• Build relationships with customers, OEMs and distributors
\n
• Contribute to product development, marketing content and market insights
\n
• Travel as required to support customers and events
\n

To be successful you will need:

\n
• Qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC/HND/Degree) or related discipline
\n
• Experience in motor control, drives, or industrial automation
\n
• Strong technical understanding and ability to read schematics
\n
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
\n
• Organised, proactive and commercially aware
\n
• Willingness to travel internationally
\n

Desirable: Experience with soft starters, VFDs, IEC/NEMA standards, or technical training
