Commercial Underwriter Location – Colchester or Maidstone. 3 days per weekSalary – Up to £40,000IPS Group are working with a leading insurer to find a Commercial Underwriter to join their growing National Underwriting Hub!This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a couple of years of exposure to Commercial Lines underwriting that wants to further develop their technical expertise with a leading Insurer.About the role\n

• You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of new business and renewal cases, delivering profitable underwriting decisions in line with company appetite and guidelines.

• You’ll work closely with brokers and internal teams to drive growth and maintain strong trading relationships.
\n
• Keep up to date with relevant market trends and insights
\n
• Be on hand to support colleagues with any questions
\n

About you \n

\n
• Ideally 2 years of UK underwriting experience (Commercial lines preferred)
\n
• Strong negotiation and broker relationship skills
\n
• Commercial awareness with the ability to assess and price risk effectively
\n
• Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied caseload
\n
• Working towards Cert CII (desirable)
