This Accountants is a growing and well-established practice with over 30 team members across two offices. Led by an experienced leadership team with over 36 years in practice ownership, the firm continues to expand through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

We are looking for an Accounts Senior or Semi Senior to join our Buckinghamshire office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working within an accountancy practice who is looking to develop their technical skills and progress their career within a supportive environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Preparing statutory accounts for a wide range of SME clients
\n
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
\n
• Assisting with management accounts and client bookkeeping queries
\n
• Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships
\n
• Supporting managers and partners with a varied client portfolio
\n
• Assisting with audit assignments where applicable (audit experience is advantageous but not essential)
\n

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Be currently working within an accountancy practice
\n
• Have experience preparing accounts and VAT returns
\n
• Be confident managing a varied workload independently
\n
• Have strong communication and client-facing skills
\n
• Be studying towards, qualified, or qualified by experience (AAT, ACCA or ACA)
\n
