Talent Guardian is partnering with a well-established FMCG manufacturing business to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their engineering team in Knighton, Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site. The Role As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support across a wide range of production equipment and plant machinery. You will work closely with the wider Engineering and Production teams to ensure operational efficiency, reliability and safety standards are consistently maintained. Key responsibilities include:\n

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities
\n
• Responding to breakdowns and fault finding across mechanical and electrical systems
\n
• Recording maintenance activities accurately using CMMS systems
\n
• Supporting continuous improvement and plant reliability projects
\n
• Assisting with machinery upgrades, modifications and installations
\n
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety, food safety and quality standards
\n
• Supporting and mentoring operators and junior engineers where required
\n

What We’re Looking For \n

\n
• Proven experience within FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environments
\n
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
\n
• Experience carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
\n
• Fault-finding and root cause analysis experience
\n
• Experience using CMMS systems
\n
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
\n
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
\n

Desirable experience:\n

\n
• PLC fault finding or programming experience
\n
• TPM or continuous improvement experience
\n
• Utilities systems experience such as steam, compressed air or refrigeration
\n
• 17th or 18th Edition qualification
\n
• HNC or further Engineering qualifications
\n

• Salary of £43,000 - £48,000

• Shift Pattern: Continental Shift Pattern - 4 on / 4 off, 12-hour shifts rotating every 2 blocks between days and nights
