Our client is a leading supplier of beautiful home textiles, supplying major retailers in the UK and due to their ever-expanding growth, they now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Stock Planner / Controller to join their commercial team.

\n

\n

This is a commercially focused role responsible for managing stock levels, forecasting demand and ensuring product availability across multiple retail customers. Working closely with Sales, Merchandising, Product Development, Shipping, Warehousing and overseas factories, you will play a key role in ensuring the right products are available at the right time whilst optimising stock investment.

\n

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, analysing trends and using Excel to influence commercial decisions.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n

Stock Planning & Forecasting

\n
    \n
  • Analyse weekly, monthly and annual sales data to identify trends and forecast future demand.
  • \n
  • Work closely with Merchandisers and Sales Administration teams to ensure customer forecasts and requirements are achieved.
  • \n
  • Manage stock allocation across customers to maximise availability whilst maintaining healthy stock levels.
  • \n
  • Maintain and update customer forecasts within JDE.
  • \n

New Product Planning

\n

  • Plan initial purchase quantities for new product launches using sales ratios and historical performance.
  • \n
  • Monitor forward sales orders to identify replenishment requirements.
  • \n
\n

\n

Reporting & Analysis

\n
    \n
  • Produce month-end sales and stock reports.
  • \n
  • Issue weekly delivery schedules to Merchandising and Sales Administration teams.
  • \n
  • Produce regular out-of-stock reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • \n
\n

\n

Experience Required:

\n

\n
    \n
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • \n
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • \n
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of decisions.
  • \n
  • Confident communicator, able to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the business.
  • \n
  • Experience within stock planning, merchandising, supply chain, inventory control or commercial analysis would be advantageous.
