Cash Management Manager - BPL
Job Description
Cash Management Manager – lead the design, build, and operation of the firm’s end‑to‑end cash management capability within a UK‑regulated Electronic Money Institution (EMI). Responsible for daily cash flows exceeding £1billion, develop a robust framework, oversee forecasting, positioning, tools, controls, and collaborate with banking partners to optimise liquidity and achieve an efficient cash position.

- Develop and implement funding and liquidity strategies meeting regulatory requirements and risk appetite. \n
- Analyse and quantify regulatory and behavioural liquidity risk impact of transactions undertaken by business units. \n
- Maintain strong relationships with key business units to manage liquidity within constraints. \n
- Monitor liquidity metrics and trends, and advise actions to maintain funding and liquidity levels within tolerance. \n
- Ensure intra‑group funding arrangements keep subsidiaries adequately funded while adhering to balance sheet exposure and capital constraints. \n
- Design and implement stress‑testing methodologies for liquidity resilience and develop mitigation strategies. \n
- Develop new tools, models, and data analysis to support and enhance funding and liquidity management capabilities. \n
- Manage daily cash flows over £1billion, establishing a scalable framework from the ground up. \n
- Oversee cash forecasting, positioning, and the implementation of controls. \n
- Coordinate with banking partners to optimise liquidity arrangements, maintain connectivity, and implement intraday liquidity facilities. \n
- Maximise interest income, minimise funding and operational costs, and maintain efficient cash positions. \n
- Oversee banking administration, support bank relationship management, and coordinate KYC and due‑diligence requests. \n
- Lead cross‑functional collaboration to ensure alignment with business strategies. \n

Qualifications & Skills\n- \n
- Experience within payments, especially cash management, treasury operations or liquidity management. \n
- Deep understanding of cash flow management, liquidity and funding in a high‑volume, time‑critical environment. \n
- Proven ability to design and implement processes, controls and strategy, building capabilities from scratch. \n
- Commercial mindset balancing interest revenue, cost and risk. \n
- Experience within an EMI, payment institution or other FCA‑regulated payments business. \n
- Knowledge of UK and EU payment schemes (Bacs, Faster Payments, CHAPS, SEPA) and intra‑day liquidity mechanisms. \n
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, influencing and negotiating skills. \n
