Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Civils Foreperson to join our dynamic water and wastewater treatment works team in Harpenden.
Location & Hours\nLocation: Harpenden STW, Marquis Lane, Harpenden
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility available, just let us know when we chat!

Your Role\nThis is an exciting opportunity to oversee the daily construction operations for our water and wastewater treatment projects. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that all work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the highest specifications. You will manage forepersons, supervisors, subcontractors, and resources on-site.
Key Responsibilities\nAs a Civils Foreperson, you will:

- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of supervisors, work teams, and subcontractors. \n
- Interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications to delegate work assignments effectively. \n
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies. \n
- Monitor work quality, conduct regular inspections, and address any arising issues. \n
- Provide guidance and mentorship to operatives, fostering a productive and positive work environment. \n
This role is perfect for you if:

- You have experience in a supervisory or foreperson role within the construction industry, preferably in the water sector. \n
- You hold an NVQ level 3 or similar qualification in construction sector skills or management. \n
- You possess a CSCS card (Supervisory/Manager) and SMSTS certification. \n
- You can read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications. \n
- You hold a full driving license. \n
