Job Title: Senior Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled)
\nReports to: Building Services Manager
\nSalary: £44,000 per annum
\n\nGoodenough College is recruiting a Senior Maintenance Engineer with proven experience of managing and leading a maintenance team to oversee planned preventative maintenance and reactive works, such as M&E assets like boilers and other works in collaboration with the wider Estates team.
\nThe College is an educational charity, providing accommodation to international postgraduate students (we call them Members) and their families in a friendly and collegiate setting on two sites across a picturesque London Square. The College offers a variety of accommodation options from shared single rooms, ensuite rooms and family flats, alongside grand halls, libraries, and common rooms.
\nAdditionally, the College owns and carries out commercial activities through the nearby 4* Goodenough Hotel. The Hotel’s income makes a financial contribution to the charitable activities of the College to encourage and assist the education of our Members.
\nThe College also owns a Scottish retreat, The Burn, a 20-bedroomed Mansion House, Listed Grade B operating mainly as an academic retreat for post-graduates, hired out for private bookings, family celebrations and offered as holiday accommodation.
\nAbout the role
\nYou will be responsible for managing planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, statutory compliance and minor MEP projects. Working closely with the Building Services Manager, you will supervise maintenance operatives and contractors, ensure high standards of health and safety, and help deliver a safe, comfortable environment for our Member residents, colleagues and visitors.
\nYou will have:

- A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing or a related discipline (minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). \n
- Strong and demonstrable experience in building services maintenance. \n
- Experience managing PPM programmes, reactive maintenance and statutory compliance. \n
- The ability to supervise contractors and maintenance teams effectively. \n
- Experience using CAFM systems and maintaining accurate records. \n
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. \n
The College is offering a salary of £44,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave, additional two days at Christmas and a free meal when working on site.
