Corporate Tax Manager

Location: HarrogateSalary: £50,000-£65,000 + Benefits

An established and growing independent accountancy practice in North Yorkshire is looking to appoint an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join its expanding tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional who enjoys working closely with owner-managed businesses and corporate clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Reporting to the Tax Partner, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients while supporting the delivery of a broad range of tax planning and advisory projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients across a variety of sectors.
\n
• Reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
\n
• Providing practical tax advice to owner-managed businesses and corporate clients.
\n
• Supporting tax planning projects, including restructures, group reorganisations, acquisitions and disposals where appropriate.
\n
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships.
\n
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
\n
• Managing deadlines and ensuring compliance work is delivered efficiently.
\n
• Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior members of the tax team.
\n
• Working closely with partners and other departments to deliver a joined-up service to clients.
\n

The successful candidate is likely to have:

• ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience).
\n
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment.
\n
• Strong corporate tax compliance experience with exposure to advisory work.
\n
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
\n
• Experience reviewing the work of junior staff.
\n
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
\n
